The weekly development update series will inform users about progress made on user-facing aspects of CryptoBridge.

As recently noted, an unfortunate disruption to the BitShares blockchain occurred this week and brought services to a halt. Partial services (withdrawals excluded) had been restored after the team began working round the clock in shifts to restore functionality. As of the publication of this update, withdrawals have also been re-enabled.

Always ready to learn from adverse experiences, the team was quite pleased to notice that previously increased permissions and capabilities granted to support team agents had resulted in improved efficiency, more sophisticated information gathering and timely resolution of specific issues. We feel this most recent type of incident held the potential for a far more extensive disruption, but this was avoided through the skillful effort employed by our development and support teams.

As always, users are encouraged to use the support ticket system with Freshdesk or speak with someone directly in our official Discord when issues arise.

Mobile App

Efforts to bug-fix issues uncovered during the app’s beta testing procedure continued this week. As the user interface and experience continues to improve, we are awaiting the outcome of our Apple Developer application.

Progress continues with the development of our first active partnership. As the sentiment of the cryptocurrency trading world reaches painful lows, we hope that efforts to help build a better overall culture will bear fruit during the next market upturn. We view such actions as an investment in quality which demonstrate our commitment to growth and integrity even in the darkest of times.

Now that our long journey with Ethereum transitions to a milestone we’re moving beyond, we have begun strategizing on how to arrange the next roadmap. We plan to implement a more flexible version which will allow for a finer level of detail on progress and specificity of goals. An official announcement will be forthcoming in future development updates.

Work on the CryptoNote protocol is already underway and is our most pressing goal at this time. We do not anticipate the level of work and frustration associated with implementing the Ethereum protocol and hope to enable trading assets in this subset extensively during 2019.

Thank you for taking the time to follow our progress. Weekly development updates can be expected on each Wednesday. Happy trading!
